Zaha, 33, is understood to be attracting interest from clubs after becoming a free agent following the end of his spell with Galatasaray.
The former Crystal Palace star has yet to announce his next club, with recent reports also linking him with Lazio in Italy and Al-Ain in the United Arab Emirates.
Al-Ahli Benghazi targeting experienced attacker
The reported interest from Al-Ahli Benghazi would represent an ambitious move for the Libyan club, who have been active in the transfer market while building a squad capable of challenging for major domestic honours.
The club have already recruited several foreign players for the 2026/27 season, including Amine Aboulfath, Makabi Lilepo and Trova Boni, as well as other additions.
Adding Zaha would give the Libyan side a player with extensive experience in the Premier League, Turkish Süper Lig and Major League Soccer, as well as international experience with Côte d'Ivoire.
However, there is currently no indication of a completed agreement between Zaha and Al-Ahli Benghazi.
Zaha is available on a free transfer
Despite being widely associated with Galatasaray, Zaha's contract with the Turkish champions expired at the end of the 2025/26 season.
The Turkish Football Federation lists his Galatasaray contract as running until 30 June 2026, while current player records show him as without a club since 1 July.
Zaha initially joined Galatasaray in July 2023 after leaving Crystal Palace and signed a three-year contract with the Istanbul club.
He subsequently spent time away from Galatasaray on loan, including spells with Olympique Lyonnais and Charlotte FC.

Experienced campaigner
Zaha established himself as one of the Premier League's most recognisable African attackers during his long spell with Crystal Palace.
He also represented Côte d'Ivoire, having switched international allegiance after previously appearing for England in friendly matches.
His experience at the highest levels of European football makes him an attractive proposition for clubs looking to add proven attacking quality without paying a transfer fee.
Recent reports indicate that Lazio and Al-Ain are also monitoring the situation, although neither club had made a concrete offer at the time of those reports.
A potentially major move for Libyan football
Should Al-Ahli Benghazi succeed in convincing Zaha to move to Libya, the signing would represent one of the more notable acquisitions in the country's recent transfer market.
The club have already shown their ambition with a series of international signings as they prepare for the 2026/27 Libyan Premier League season.
For now, however, Zaha's future remains open.
Al-Ahli Benghazi's reported interest adds another potential destination to the growing list of clubs monitoring the experienced Ivorian, but no agreement has been officially confirmed.
