Our newsroom seeks to provide readers with accurate and informative coverage by checking information against appropriate sources, including official clubs, football associations, leagues, competition organisers, governing bodies, player and coach statements, verified journalists and reputable media organisations.
Where information is developing or subject to change, we aim to update our reports as new and verified information becomes available.
Our Editorial Approach
At Nigfooty, we believe sports journalism should be informative, responsible and accessible to everyone.
Our editorial approach is built around:
• Accuracy and fact-checking.
• Timely reporting.
• Clear and understandable writing.
• Proper attribution of information and quotations.
• Verification of important sporting developments where possible.
• Distinguishing news reporting from opinion and analysis.
• Correcting significant factual errors when identified.
• Respect for athletes, clubs, teams, officials and other individuals covered by our reporting.
We do not knowingly publish fabricated scores, statistics, quotations, transfers, injuries or other sporting information.
When a story is based on information from another source, we aim to identify or attribute that source appropriately.
Nigerian and African Football
Nigerian football remains an important part of Nigfooty's identity.

Football is at the heart of Nigfooty, but our coverage extends beyond the beautiful game.
