BERLIN, Germany — Jamaica’s Rushell Clayton produced a dominant performance to claim victory in the women’s 400 metres hurdles at the ISTAF Berlin meeting on Sunday.
Clayton crossed the line in a strong time of 53.72 seconds, establishing a clear lead over the rest of the field and securing the top spot on the podium.
American hurdler Shamier Little finished second in 54.51 seconds, while Zimbabwe’s Ashley Miller took third place with a time of 54.59 seconds.
The result marked another impressive outing for Clayton on the international circuit, as she controlled the race from the early stages and maintained her rhythm over the barriers. Little and Miller both produced solid efforts but were unable to match the Jamaican’s pace in the closing stages.
The ISTAF Berlin remains one of the highlight events on the European athletics calendar, regularly attracting top-level talent across a range of disciplines. Clayton’s win adds to Jamaica’s strong tradition in the hurdles events and underlines her consistency at the highest level of competition.
Further results from the meeting are expected throughout the day as athletes continue to compete across the track and field programme.
