If the contest extends to six or seven games, the teams will return to Milwaukee, where the Brewers will have the opportunity to clinch the championship in front of their home supporters.
The franchise's return to the World Series marks a major milestone after more than four decades without an appearance in the championship series.
Guardians and Rays battle for American League place

Cleveland entered the series with momentum after progressing through the Division Series, while Tampa Bay are aiming to secure their own place in the Fall Classic.
With the World Series dates now confirmed, both teams know the stakes as they compete for the American League pennant. The winner will travel to Milwaukee for the opening game on 23 October.
The 2026 World Series will conclude no later than 31 October if a seventh game is required, bringing Major League Baseball's championship season to a close on Halloween.
