Gor Mahia Top Group A as CECAFA Kagame Cup Semi-Final Race Continues

KIGALI, Rwanda — Gor Mahia have qualified for the semi-finals of the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup after finishing top of Group A with six points and a superior goal difference.

Final Group A Standings:

• 1. Gor Mahia (Kenya) — 6 points (+5) — Qualified
• 2. Vipers SC (Uganda) — 6 points (+3)
• 3. APR FC (Rwanda) — 6 points (-2)
• 4. Garde Républicaine (Djibouti) — 0 points (-6)

The Kenyan side secured top spot and automatic progression as the best-placed team in the group following their 1-0 victory over Garde Républicaine.

Vipers SC also finished on six points but must now wait for the completion of the remaining group matches to determine whether their points and goal difference will be sufficient to claim one of the best second-placed spots and advance to the semi-finals.

APR FC, despite also collecting six points, finish third on goal difference and are eliminated from the competition, while Garde Républicaine end their campaign without a point.
