SANREMO, Italy — Italian tennis star Matteo Arnaldi has married his Australian partner Mia Savio in a private ceremony held in his hometown of Sanremo.
The couple tied the knot on 16 September at Villa Ormond, with celebrations continuing at the Miramare Palace. The wedding was a low-key, tightly controlled affair attended by close family and friends from both Italy and Australia.
Arnaldi, a Davis Cup winner with Italy in 2023 and a recent Roland Garros semi-finalist, was supported by fellow Italian player Francesco Passaro as his best man. Savio was accompanied by her brother and a close friend.
The pair first met in Perugia and have been together since 2022. They announced their engagement in September 2025. Savio, who runs her own activewear brand, took the lead in organising the wedding, which Arnaldi had previously described as “something special” they had been planning carefully.
The honeymoon was postponed, with the couple instead enjoying a short romantic break along the Riviera di Levante, including stops in Portofino and Santa Margherita. Arnaldi has since returned to the tour and is competing this week at the Japan Open in Tokyo.
