Italy enter the tournament as both hosts and defending champions, having won the Davis Cup for the third consecutive year in 2025.

The other seven nations are Austria, Canada, Czechia, Germany, Great Britain, South Korea and Spain. South Korea will be making its debut in the Final 8 under the current format.

Italy chasing another title

Italy will arrive in Bologna as the reigning world champions after defeating Spain 2–0 in the 2025 final.

The Italians also won the competition in 2023 and 2024, making the 2026 event an opportunity to extend their recent run of success on home soil.

Spain, meanwhile, return to the Final 8 after finishing runners-up to Italy last year.

With eight nations now confirmed and the knockout draw complete, attention will turn to the player selections and final preparations ahead of the November showdown in Bologna.
