NEW YORK, United States: The stage is set for a fascinating US Open men's singles final on Sunday, with Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton preparing to battle for the championship at Arthur Ashe Stadium.
But before the two finalists settle the contest on court, Nigfooty Sports wants to hear from our readers: who do you think will win?
Zverev or Shelton?
Zverev comes into the final with significant experience at this stage of a Grand Slam. The German is the top seed and has already won a major title this season, making him a strong contender to add the US Open trophy to his collection.
Shelton, meanwhile, is playing in his first Grand Slam final and has captured the imagination of the home crowd with his run in New York.
The American also has history within reach. A victory would make Shelton the first American man since Andy Roddick in 2003 to win a Grand Slam singles title.
There is also a significant head-to-head advantage for Zverev. The German has won all five of their previous meetings, giving him another statistical edge heading into the final.
However, Shelton's powerful serve, aggressive game and confidence on home soil could make the contest far more competitive than their previous meetings suggest.
Now it's your turn
Forget the rankings for a moment. Forget the statistics.
Who do you believe will win the 2026 US Open men's singles title?
Will Alexander Zverev use his experience and big-match pedigree to claim another Grand Slam trophy?
Or will Ben Shelton produce a historic performance in front of his home fans and win his first major title?
