NEW YORK, United States — Fifth seeds Christian Harrison and Neal Skupski won the US Open men’s doubles title on Saturday, beating sixth seeds Kevin Krawietz and Tim Pütz 6-4, 7-6(6).
The American-British pair claimed their second Grand Slam of 2026 after also winning the Australian Open in January. They did not drop a set throughout the fortnight.
The final lasted one hour and 39 minutes. Harrison and Skupski missed a break point at 4-3 in the second set, then saved a set point at 5-6 in the tie-break before closing out the match.
They are only the third men’s team in the Open Era to win the US Open without losing a set, after Peter Fleming and John McEnroe in 1983 and the Bryan brothers in 2008 and 2010. They also won all five of their tie-breaks in New York.
En route to the title they beat Mark Wallner and Jakob Schnaitter, fourth seeds Simone Bolelli and Andrea Vavassori, and top seeds Harri Heliövaara and Henry Patten.
The victory completed a year of redemption for Skupski, who lost last year’s final with Joe Salisbury after squandering three championship points.
“I don’t know what to say as I am still in shock,” Skupski said. “The speech gets a little bit easier once you have won. Having match points in last year’s championship final [it was hard]. It was a tough part of my career, but it is amazing what a year does in tennis.”
Harrison congratulated Krawietz and Pütz and said winning two majors in a season had left him “speechless”.
Elena Rybakina had earlier won the women’s singles title against Aryna Sabalenka. The men’s singles final between Alexander Zverev and Ben Shelton is on Sunday.
