LONDON, England — Tottenham Hotspur have completed the signing of Egypt international forward Omar Marmoush from Manchester City on a season-long loan.
The deal includes an obligation to make the transfer permanent next summer in a package worth £50 million plus £10 million in add-ons, taking the total potential fee to £60 million.
Official Confirmation
In a statement on the club’s official channels, Tottenham said: “We are delighted to announce the signing of Egypt international forward Omar Marmoush on a season-long loan.”
Marmoush becomes the second player to move from Manchester City to Spurs in recent days, following Brazilian winger Savio. The 27-year-old will wear the No. 22 shirt at Tottenham.
Player’s Reaction
Marmoush expressed his excitement at the move. “Tottenham Hotspur is one of the biggest clubs in England, if not the world, and the project was very attractive to me,” he said. “I’ve spoken with the head coach, I loved what he had to say and I’m sure our passion for the game will go very well together.”
Background
Marmoush joined Manchester City from Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2025 for a fee of around £59 million. He scored 16 goals in 62 appearances across all competitions for the Premier League champions but found regular starting opportunities limited behind Erling Haaland.
The versatile forward, capable of playing centrally or from the left, arrives at Tottenham under head coach Roberto De Zerbi as part of a significant summer of recruitment at the club.
Looking Ahead
Sporting Director Johan Lange described Marmoush as a quality addition who represents a statement of intent. De Zerbi has also welcomed the signing, highlighting the player’s ambition, pace and goal threat.
Marmoush will now begin his adaptation at Tottenham as he seeks regular playing time and a fresh start in north London.
