The 21-year-old arrives at Naturena after an impressive two-year spell with the Cape side, where he made 72 appearances, scoring 11 goals and providing two assists. Phili helped Stellenbosch reach back-to-back MTN8 finals and feature in consecutive CAF Confederation Cup campaigns.
He also enjoyed success at international level, winning the CAF U-20 Africa Cup of Nations with South Africa and representing the country at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile. Last season he swept four individual awards at Stellenbosch, including Players’ Player of the Season, Young Player of the Season, Golden Boot and Fans’ Player of the Season.
Chiefs described Phili as an exciting addition who will bring pace, quality and creativity to the squad. Stellenbosch confirmed the transfer and wished him well in the next chapter of his career.
