Retired French Footballer targets Ligue 1 comeback

By Oladele Emmanuel - Former Liverpool and French footballer Djibril Cisse is eyeing a comeback to French Ligue 1 at 38.

Cisse who spent most of his career playing in the French Ligue 1 retired in 2015 to become a DJ. During his spell with Auxerre, Marseille and Bastia, he scored a total of 96 goals.

Cisse is aspiring to pass 100-goal and he's willing to join a club and play for free to get his wish.

According to the Frenchman, "I have always said that passing the 100-goal mark was something very important to me. Being four goals away bothers me.

If it doesn't happen, at least I would have tried and I could close the book of 100 goals, but until I try everything, I won't be at peace."

Racall that Dijbril Cisse came out of retirement in 2017 to join Swiss side Yverdon-Sport Football Club, making 27 appearances, scoring  24 goals before moving to Vicenza of Italy in 2018 where he never played any game before parting ways with the club in 2019.
