Luis Dadong gave the visitors the lead in the 28th minute, capitalising on an early opportunity to put Katsina United ahead. The Changi Boys looked organised and dangerous on the counter, forcing the Seasiders to dig deep after falling behind.
Warri Wolves responded with sustained pressure after the break. Their persistence paid off in the 72nd minute when substitute Sabastine Uche found the net, restoring parity for the home side and sparking celebrations among the supporters.
The equaliser came after a period of intense pressure from the Wolves, who dominated possession and created several chances in the second half. Despite the home side’s territorial advantage, Katsina United remained solid defensively and threatened on the break until the final whistle.
The result leaves both teams with a point that could prove valuable as the season progresses. For Warri Wolves, the draw extends their recent run of mixed results and keeps them in the mid-to-lower half of the table. Katsina United, meanwhile, remain competitive in the upper mid-table after another away point.
This was a typical NPFL battle — physical, competitive, and full of effort from both sets of players. Neither side was able to claim maximum points, but the share of the spoils reflected a closely contested afternoon in Warri.
Warri Wolves will look to build on the character shown in the second half as they continue their campaign, while Katsina United will take confidence from their ability to take the lead on the road and hold firm under pressure.
The 2026/27 Euromatch NPFL season continues to deliver competitive fixtures across the country, with every point hard-earned as teams battle for positions near the top and safety at the bottom.
