London — Fulham came from behind to secure a 1-1 draw against Newcastle United in the Premier League at Craven Cottage on Saturday, 7 November 2026.
Substitute Rodrigo Muniz scored a late equaliser to rescue a point for Fulham after Jacob Murphy had given Newcastle the lead in an entertaining closing spell.
Fulham started brightly and enjoyed more possession in the opening stages, with Oscar Bobb forcing goalkeeper Lukas Hornicek into a save before Gonzalo García sent a header narrowly over the crossbar.
Newcastle gradually grew into the contest and threatened through Harvey Barnes, who was denied twice by Fulham goalkeeper Bernd Leno.
The visitors thought they had taken the lead when Dan Burn found the net from a corner, but the goal was disallowed after Yoane Wissa was penalised for pulling Timothy Castagne's shirt in the build-up.
Fulham also came close before the break when Josh King produced a powerful volley, but Hornicek reacted well to keep the effort out.
Newcastle increased their attacking pressure after the restart, with Barnes hitting the stanchion following a pass from Wissa. Fulham responded through Sander Berge, whose low effort from the edge of the penalty area went narrowly wide.
Both sides searched for a breakthrough as the match approached its final 10 minutes.
Newcastle eventually took the lead in the 80th minute after Murphy capitalised on a misplaced pass from Berge in midfield. The winger drove towards goal, cut inside and curled a superb left-footed effort into the top corner beyond Leno.
However, Fulham responded almost immediately.
Three minutes later, Muniz restored parity with an inventive finish in the 83rd minute. César Palacios helped create the opportunity, and the Brazilian striker reacted quickly to turn the ball past Hornicek and make it 1-1.
Both teams pushed for a winner in the closing stages. Newcastle's Lewis Hall was denied by an excellent Leno save, while Hornicek produced a superb late stop to prevent Ryan Sessegnon from snatching victory for Fulham.
The result extended Fulham's unbeaten Premier League run to four matches, while Newcastle were left with a point despite taking the lead late in the game.
Fulham moved to 10 points from 10 matches, while Newcastle reached 12 points.
