Tuesday UEFA Nations League Results: Kane and Merino Shine as Spain and England Win

NYON, Switzerland — England and Spain took the League A headlines on Tuesday, 6 October, as matchday four of the UEFA Nations League closed with ten matches.

Harry Kane scored twice on his 125th cap as England beat Czechia 3-0 at Wembley. Vladimír Coufal put through his own net in the 27th minute. Kane added the second in the 40th and the third in the 57th. It was 2-0 at half-time.

Spain came from behind to beat Croatia 2-1 in Split and stay unbeaten. Ivan Perišić scored in the 17th minute. Mikel Merino equalised in the 61st and won it in the 88th.

Scotland lost 2-1 at Hampden to Slovenia. Ryan Christie scored in the 31st. Matko levelled in the 56th and Sturm scored the winner in the 71st. Switzerland beat North Macedonia 3-0 in Lucerne, through Rieder (43), Manzambi (73) and Ndoye (81).

Belarus’s winner came in the first minute in Budapest. Slovakia’s 4-0 win in Chișinău was the clearest result outside League A. The league phase resumes on 12 November.
