According to report, the sanction follows an incident in which a Ranchers Bees player was captured on video physically attacking a Rivers United player during or after the encounter.
In addition to the financial penalty, Ranchers Bees have been directed to identify the player involved and submit his details to the relevant authorities for further disciplinary action.
The club was given until Thursday, 1 October 2026, to disclose the player’s identity. Further sanctions against the individual are expected once his identity is officially confirmed.
Incident follows goalless draw
The incident occurred around Ranchers Bees’ Matchday 6 meeting with Rivers United, which ended in a 0–0 draw.
The encounter was played on Monday, 28 September, with Rivers United extending their unbeaten start to the campaign after securing a point on the road.
Despite creating several opportunities, neither side found the breakthrough.
