PARIS, France — Naomie Feller was named Player of the Match after producing a brilliant all-round display as Paris Saint-Germain Féminines swept aside OH Leuven 5-0 in the UEFA Women’s Champions League on Thursday night.
The France international scored twice and provided two assists in a dominant performance at the Campus PSG. She set up Rasheedat Ajibade for the early opener in the ninth minute, then netted herself in the 51st and 64th minutes. Feller also created the fourth goal for Sakina Karchaoui before substitute Vitória Yaya completed the scoring late on.
It was a comprehensive victory for Paulo Cesar’s side on Matchday 2 of the league phase, following their opening draw against Real Madrid. Feller, who joined PSG from Real Madrid in the summer, was involved in four of the five goals and deservedly took home the Player of the Match award.
The Parisiennes controlled the contest from start to finish, creating chance after chance against the Belgian visitors. The result gives PSG their first win of the Champions League campaign and underlines Feller’s growing importance in her new colours.
Bravo, Naomie!
