Lamine Yamal opened the scoring early before Rodri doubled Spain’s advantage in the first half. Jiří Sláma pulled one back for Czechia after the interval, but Mikel Merino sealed victory late on as the world champions moved to nine points from three matches.
Yamal strikes early for Spain
Spain needed just six minutes to take the lead.
Yamal collected the ball on the right side before cutting inside and curling a superb left-footed effort beyond Czech goalkeeper Antonín Kinský.
The goal continued the teenager’s impressive run in the Nations League, having also scored early in Spain’s previous matches against England and Croatia.
Rodri doubles the advantage
Spain continued to dominate possession and territory and were rewarded with a second goal in the 35th minute.
Rodri produced a rare forward burst before finishing to put Luis de la Fuente’s side 2-0 ahead at half-time.
Czechia fight back
Czechia improved after the restart and reduced the deficit in the 69th minute.
Jiří Sláma found the net to give the visitors renewed hope, while Adam Hložek was credited with the assist.
Czechia appeared capable of mounting a comeback, but their hopes were dealt another blow when Ladislav Krejčí was shown a second yellow card in the 85th minute.
Merino seals Spain victory
Spain eventually made their numerical advantage count when Mikel Merino scored in the 89th minute to restore the two-goal cushion.
The late strike completed a 3-1 victory and ensured Spain remained unbeaten after three rounds of Group A3 action.

The victory leaves Spain top of Group A3 with nine points from three matches.
Spain have now recorded three consecutive victories, while Czechia remain without a point after three defeats.
