TRIPOLI, Libya — Mauritanian right-back Ibrahima Keita has signed for Libyan club Al-Sadaqa, ending his spell at Espérance de Tunis.
Keita, born in Bamako on 8 November 2001, came through clubs in Mali and Mauritania before a short spell at French side FC 93 Bobigny. He joined TP Mazembe in July 2023 on a two-year deal, made the right-back berth his own in Lubumbashi and was part of the side that won the DR Congo title in 2023/24.
Espérance completed his signing on 15 July 2025, a two-year contract from Mazembe. He made 16 league appearances for the Tunis club without scoring and also featured in the CAF Champions League, including both group games against Simba. He is now in Libya.
Internationally he debuted for Mauritania in March 2022, a 2-1 friendly win over Mozambique, and was in the squad for the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations. He has more than 30 caps.
Al-Sadaqa get a full international who has played in Linafoot, the Tunisian top flight and the Champions League. Espérance lose a defender signed only 15 months ago. For Keita, the move is a fresh start after Tunis.
