CAIRO, Egypt — FIFA has ordered Pyramids FC to pay Egyptian player Hala Bassem Fathi El-Sarawi a total of USD 1,340 in outstanding remuneration, plus 5% annual interest on the delayed payments.
The ruling requires the club to settle the full amount within 45 days of notification.
Should Pyramids fail to comply within the stipulated timeframe, the club risks a registration ban of up to three consecutive transfer windows. The case could also be referred to the FIFA Disciplinary Committee for further sanctions.
The decision forms part of FIFA’s ongoing efforts to enforce contractual obligations between clubs and players. Outstanding payments remain one of the most common causes of disputes handled by the world governing body’s decision-making bodies.
Pyramids FC, one of Egypt’s leading clubs and regular competitors in CAF competitions, will now need to settle the debt promptly to avoid any potential restrictions on their ability to register new players in future transfer windows.
Further details regarding the original contract or the period of the outstanding payments have not been publicly disclosed.
