Slovakia take the lead
Slovakia dominated possession in the opening half and eventually broke the deadlock in the 38th minute.
Faroe Islands goalkeeper Gunnar Nielsen was credited with an own goal after the ball went into his net, giving Slovakia a 1-0 lead before half-time.
The visitors continued to control possession after the goal, with Slovakia finishing the match with 65.3 per cent of the ball and 512 accurate passes.
Justinussen brings Faroe Islands level
Faroe Islands responded strongly after the interval and found their equaliser in the 66th minute.
Adrian Justinussen restored parity for the hosts, finishing an attack to make it 1-1.
Slovakia pushed for a late winner, but Faroe Islands held firm to secure a valuable point.
Slovakia remain top of Group C3
The draw leaves Slovakia with seven points from their opening three matches, having previously beaten Moldova 2-0 and Kazakhstan 2-1. Faroe Islands move to two points after three games.
Slovakia will travel to Moldova for their next Nations League fixture on 6 October, while Faroe Islands will face Kazakhstan on the same matchday.
