Bloemfontein, South Africa — Banyana Banyana moved closer to the third round of the 2028 Olympic Games qualifiers after securing a commanding 4-0 victory over Madagascar in the first leg of their second-round tie on Friday.

South Africa delivered a dominant performance at the Free State Stadium, with striker Ronnel Donnelly scoring a hat-trick to put Desiree Ellis’ side in a strong position ahead of Tuesday’s return fixture.
