Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC have left for the Democratic Republic of Congo to face TP Mazembe in the second leg of their CAF Champions League preliminary-round tie.
The Tarkwa-based side trail 1-0 from the first leg, which was decided by a late goal from substitute Lise Ntumba Nyembo at the TNA Stadium on Sunday.
Medeama must now overturn the deficit on Congolese soil if they are to progress. The return fixture is scheduled for this weekend in Lubumbashi, with a place in the next round of Africa’s premier club competition at stake.
Coach Ibrahim Tanko and the squad will look to produce a strong away performance against the five-time CAF Champions League winners.
