Munich, Germany: Bayern Munich made a commanding start to their 2026/27 UEFA Champions League campaign, defeating Norwegian champions Bodø/Glimt 5–0 at the Allianz Arena on Thursday, September 10.
After a goalless first half, Bayern exploded into life after the interval. Jamal Musiala broke the deadlock in the 47th minute, marking an impressive return to the starting XI with a goal.
Harry Kane doubled Bayern's advantage with a header in the 61st minute before Alphonso Davies added a third in the 77th minute. Michael Olise then completed the rout with two excellent finishes in the 83rd and 90+2nd minutes.
• Bayern Munich: Jamal Musiala 47', Harry Kane 61', Alphonso Davies 77', Michael Olise 83', 90+2'
• Bodø/Glimt: No goals
The result extended Bayern's remarkable record of winning their opening Champions League match for the 23rd consecutive season. Kane also continued his outstanding European scoring run, while Olise's late brace put the seal on a comprehensive victory.
The match was particularly significant for Musiala, who returned to the starting line-up after being sidelined during the opening weeks of the campaign. His goal provided the breakthrough Bayern needed after Bodø/Glimt had frustrated the German champions for much of the first half.
Bayern's next fixture is away to SV Elversberg in the Bundesliga on Sunday, September 13, before their Champions League campaign continues away to Viking FK in October.
