CAIRO, Egypt — Zamalek have reached an agreement with Djibouti’s AS Port to stage both legs of their CAF Champions League preliminary-round tie in Cairo.
AS Port will play both matches in Egypt after it was confirmed that Djibouti currently has no stadium approved by CAF to host the fixture.
The arrangement allows the first and second legs to be contested in Egypt, removing any potential venue issues for the Djiboutian side. Zamalek will therefore enjoy home advantage in both encounters as they begin their continental campaign.
Further details regarding the exact dates and venues for the two matches are expected to be confirmed by CAF and the clubs in due course. The agreement ensures the tie can proceed without disruption linked to stadium approval requirements.
