Youcef Belaïli Speaks Out Amid MC Alger Contract Controversy

ALGIERS, Algeria — Algerian winger Youcef Belaïli has broken his silence over the ongoing contract dispute with MC Alger, insisting that any valid agreement with the club should be made public and warning that he is prepared to release private messages and voice recordings if the matter continues.

Speaking amid the controversy, Belaïli made his position clear.

“If there is a contract I signed with MC Alger, it must be made public. Stop creating problems, otherwise I will reveal the messages and voice recordings I have,” he said.

Contract Claims

Belaïli challenged the club’s stance directly, stating: “If you have a contract, let Djamel Benlamri present it. The contract held by MC Alger has expired.”

He further revealed that his lawyer had advised him that the club which successfully takes the case to the Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) to have any sanction cancelled would be the one he plays for.

“I informed the president of MC Alger, and his response was: ‘May God make it easy for you,’” Belaïli added.

Espérance Involvement

The player also highlighted the role of Tunisian giants Espérance Sportive de Tunis in the matter.

“Espérance were the ones who went to CAS, and the next day the sanction was cancelled,” he said.

Belaïli’s comments underline his determination to resolve the situation and clarify his future, as the dispute between the player, MC Alger and interested parties continues to attract attention across African football.
