Serie A: Juventus Maintain Perfect Start as Frosinone Stun Fiorentina

TURIN, Italy — Juventus continued their flawless beginning to the 2026/27 Serie A season with a 2-0 home victory over Parma on Saturday evening, while newly promoted Frosinone produced the shock of the day by thrashing Fiorentina 3-0 away.

At the Allianz Stadium, substitutes proved decisive for Luciano Spalletti’s side. Nico González broke the deadlock in the 62nd minute after coming off the bench, converting a rebound following a powerful effort that had struck the post. Late substitute Teun Koopmeiners sealed the points in the 88th minute with a composed finish. The result leaves Juventus with a maximum six points from two matches and level at the top of the table with AC Milan.

The biggest surprise of the afternoon came in Florence. Frosinone ruined Fiorentina’s centenary celebrations with a dominant performance at the Stadio Artemio Franchi. Antonio Raimondo scored twice, finding the net in the 26th and 68th minutes, while Gabriele Bracaglia headed home the second goal in the 38th minute. The Viola remain without a point after two heavy defeats.

Elsewhere, Udinese fought back to claim a 3-2 victory at Monza. Jakub Piotrowski, Hassane Kamara and Jurgen Ekkelenkamp scored for the visitors, with Andrea Colpani and Gustavo Varela replying for the hosts. In the final Saturday fixture, Sassuolo edged Torino 2-1 thanks to goals from Cristian Volpato and Domenico Berardi, with Pietro Comuzzo scoring for the Granata.

The results leave Juventus and Milan as the early pace-setters on six points each. Frosinone’s impressive away win lifts them into a positive position after their return to the top flight, while Fiorentina and Torino face an early struggle at the wrong end of the table.

Sunday’s fixtures include Napoli against Como, Cagliari versus Inter Milan and Lazio hosting Genoa, with further matches to follow on Monday.
