The former Power Dynamos forward was not included in Usuthu’s squad for today’s MTN8 quarter-final clash against Sekhukhune United. He also missed the side’s season-opening Betway Premiership victory over Stellenbosch FC last weekend.
Shumah joined the Durban-based club in June after a standout debut season in Zambia. The 23-year-old finished as the leading scorer in the MTN Super League with 21 goals, helping Power Dynamos retain their league title. He also contributed goals in cup competitions and was named Fans’ Player of the Season.
The prolific forward, who previously starred for Kakamega Homeboyz in Kenya, arrived in South Africa with high expectations. AmaZulu will hope the new signing can soon force his way into the matchday plans as the campaign progresses.
