TUNIS, Tunisia — Tunisian international striker Hazem Mastouri has completed a move to Espérance de Tunis, signing a three-year contract with the club.
The 29-year-old forward arrives from Russian side FC Dynamo Makhachkala, where he spent the previous season. Mastouri had been linked with a return to Tunisian football for several weeks and finalised the switch after completing his medical in Tunis.
A powerful centre-forward who has represented the Tunisia national team, Mastouri previously impressed with US Monastir, where he scored regularly in the Tunisian Ligue Professionnelle 1, and also had spells with ES Métlaoui and Al-Najaf in Iraq.
His arrival strengthens Espérance’s attacking options as the Blood and Gold prepare for the new domestic season and their continued campaign in African competitions.
