Gor Mahia Remain Relaxed Over Al-Merrikh Interest in Musa and Ochuoga

NAIROBI, Kenya — Gor Mahia are in no rush to sell winger Shariff Musa and full-back Paul Ochuoga despite growing interest from Sudanese giants Al-Merrikh.

Latest reports indicate that the Kenyan champions feel relaxed about the situation involving the two players, both of whom have attracted attention from the Omdurman-based club.

Musa has been on Al-Merrikh’s radar since late last month, with interest intensifying following his strong performances at the 2026 CECAFA Kagame Cup. Ochuoga, who is capable of operating at both right-back and left-back, is also being monitored due to his versatility and consistency.

However, any potential move for the duo is expected to prove difficult. Both players are highly rated by head coach Charles Akonnor, who is focused on building a competitive squad capable of defending the Kenyan Premier League title and making a strong impression in the CAF Champions League.

Gor Mahia are therefore unlikely to entertain offers that would disrupt their plans at this stage of the season.
