Eight clubs have been exempted from the first preliminary round. Kaizer Chiefs have replaced AS Otohô (Congo-Brazzaville) after CAF rejected the Congolese club’s participation due to the country not having a league season for more than one year.
The Amakhosi will therefore enter the Confederation Cup directly in the second preliminary round.
Everything is now clear ahead of the official preliminary draws scheduled for later today.
