Final details of the transfer are still being sorted, but the deal is expected to be completed soon. Okello will reunite with coach Pedro Gonçalves in Morocco, having previously worked under the Portuguese tactician.
The attacking midfielder has been a key figure for Yanga and the Uganda national team, known for his creativity, vision and goal threat from midfield. His potential move to AS FAR would represent a significant step in his career and a notable addition for the Moroccan club.
Negotiations between the two clubs have progressed to an advanced stage. Once formalities are concluded, Okello is expected to link up with his new teammates and begin preparations under Gonçalves.
Further confirmation of the transfer is anticipated in the coming days as both parties work to finalise the agreement.
