Reports indicate that Nassif and the board failed to reach agreement on several administrative files and the working mechanisms planned for the next phase. The club’s official app initially announced the end of his tenure before the post was briefly removed and later reinstated.
An official statement from Zamalek is expected once the departure is fully finalised.
Nassif was appointed sporting director in July 2025 on a contract running until June 2028. He previously held the same role at Pharco FC and earlier at Pyramids FC. During his time at Zamalek he oversaw football operations and played a role in recent coaching appointments.
