The Football Association confirmed that anti-doping disciplinary proceedings involving Mudryk have been settled. He accepted that he committed anti-doping rule violations after testing positive for a low concentration of meldonium, and agreed to a period of ineligibility equal to the time he has already served.
As a result, Mudryk is no longer ineligible and may return to competition with immediate effect. The resolution was reached with the agreement of the World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA).
Chelsea Response
Chelsea issued a statement welcoming the outcome: “From the outset, this has been an extremely difficult period for Misha, both professionally and personally, and we are pleased that the matter has now reached a conclusion which allows him to return to football with immediate effect.
“We know how much this opportunity to return means to him. Our focus now is on supporting Misha’s reintegration into the squad and helping him resume his career.”
Mudryk, who had been suspended since late 2024, is expected to link up with his Chelsea team-mates in Hong Kong on Sunday as the club continues its pre-season preparations. He is also eligible to represent the Ukraine national team once more.
