AUSTRIA — CAF Champions League holders Mamelodi Sundowns came from behind to draw 1-1 with Algerian champions MC Alger in a pre-season friendly on Sunday.
Zinedine Ferhat gave MC Alger the lead in the second half with a well-taken goal. Sundowns responded through Brayan Leon, who levelled the scores later in the half.
The first period ended goalless in a competitive contest. Both sides used the match as a useful workout as they continue preparations for the new season.
The result brings Sundowns’ pre-season tour in Austria to a close.
