Chippa United Unveil Four New Signings as Chilli Boys Strengthen Squad

GQEBERHA, South Africa — Chippa United have completed the signings of four players as the Chilli Boys continue to bolster their squad for the Betway Premiership campaign.

The Eastern Cape club have confirmed the arrivals of striker Ntuthuko Mlotshwa, defensive midfielders Muhammad Carrim and Daba Diakité, and centre-back Tshepang Makara.

The New Arrivals

Squad Number 29 | Ntuthuko Mlotshwa | Striker

A proven goalscorer, Mlotshwa joins after finishing the 2025/26 Motsepe Foundation Championship as one of the league’s leading scorers. Following spells with Magesi FC, Jomo Cosmos and an outstanding campaign with Lerumo Lions, he arrives ready to bring his finishing ability and attacking presence to the top flight.

Squad Number 6 | Muhammad Carrim | Defensive Midfielder Carrim’s football journey has taken him from South Africa to Europe and back. Having represented Black Leopards before gaining experience with AD Alcorcón B in Spain and Patro Eisden in Belgium, he brings composure, intelligence and international experience to the heart of Chippa United’s midfield.

Squad Number 27 | Daba Diakité | Defensive Midfielder

Born in Sebekoro, Mali, Diakité developed through the ranks of Djoliba AC before moving to Europe with Moldovan champions FC Sheriff Tiraspol. A disciplined and composed midfielder, he arrives in the Eastern Cape bringing international experience, defensive stability and a strong presence in the middle of the park.

Squad Number 37 | Tshepang Makara | Centre Back

Makara joins from University of Pretoria after developing into a dependable defender in the Motsepe Foundation Championship. Having previously represented Amavarara FC, he arrives as a composed and disciplined centre-back ready to make the step up to the Betway Premiership.

The quartet adds depth and competition across attack, midfield and defence as Chippa United prepare for the new season.
