Manchester United head coach Rúben Amorim has delivered a defiant message regarding his coaching philosophy, stating that he will not change his system despite recent poor results.
Following a pre-planned meeting with Manchester United co-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, Amorim was asked if he had been pressured to abandon his favoured three-at-the-back formation. He responded with a powerful statement, saying, "No, no, no. Not once. Not even the Pope can do it! This is my job, my responsibility, this is my life."
The Portuguese coach, who has overseen a difficult start to the new season, acknowledged the need for "an evolution" in his system, but insisted it would be done on his own terms. He added that he hopes to have the time to make those changes, hinting at the pressure he is under at the club.
