The African Champions, who continue to hold the number one spot on the continent, have moved from 11th to an impressive 8th position in the world.
The latest rankings reflect the outstanding performances of African teams, particularly at the recent Afrobasket Championship. Runners-up Mali also saw a significant boost, jumping six places from 24th to 18th in the world.
However, the most remarkable rise belongs to South Sudan, who made their debut at the Afrobasket Championship and finished in a historic third place. This bronze medal performance saw them become the highest mover in the new rankings, soaring an incredible 31 places from 86th to 55th.
