FULL-TIME: Namibia U20 and Malawi U20 Play Out Goalless Draw in COSAFA Cup Opener

The Namibia U20 women's team kicked off their 2025 COSAFA U20 Women’s Championship campaign with a hard-fought 0-0 draw against Malawi U20 at the Unam Stadium.

Despite both teams creating chances, neither side could find the breakthrough in a tightly contested opener. Namibia, playing on home soil, showed composure and defensive discipline, while Malawi looked dangerous on the counter but lacked precision in the final third.

One bright spark for Namibia was striker Nancy Lebang, who was named Player of the Match for her energetic display and attacking intent. Lebang, who recently won the COSAFA U17 Golden Boot, continues to show why she is one of the region’s rising stars.
