Nigeria Defeat Ghana 2-1 to Reach Unity Cup 2025 Final
The Super Eagles of Nigeria have booked their place in the final of the Unity Cup 2025, following a hard-fought 2-1 victory over Ghana in the semi-final clash.
Played in front of an enthusiastic crowd, Cyriel Dessers gave Nigeria the lead early in the 14th minute, continuing his fine form from Rangers FC. Just five minutes later, a mix-up in Ghana's defence saw Simpson Rasaq put the ball into his own net, doubling Nigeria's advantage.Ghana pulled one back in the 70th minute through Thomas-Asante, but Nigeria held firm to seal the win.
The Super Eagles will now face Jamaica in the final of the tournament on Saturday, May 31st. With confidence high and momentum on their side, Nigeria will be aiming to lift the Unity Cup trophy in style.
