Real Madrid have officially confirmed the departure of defender Jesús Vallejo, with the player's contract set to expire this summer. The club has decided not to offer a renewal, bringing an end to Vallejo’s time at the Santiago Bernabéu.
Vallejo, 28, joined Real Madrid in 2015 and spent much of his tenure on loan at various clubs, including Eintracht Frankfurt, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and Granada. Despite flashes of promise, he struggled to secure a regular role in the first team.
The Spanish centre-back will now be available on a free transfer as he looks to begin a new chapter in his career.
Real Madrid expressed their gratitude to Vallejo for his professionalism and dedication during his time at the club.
