Makanakaishe Charamba of Auburn lit up the track at the NCAA East Prelims, storming to victory in the men’s 200m with a wind-aided 19.79s (2.4) — a blistering performance that saw him run down a strong field.

Just minutes after his record-breaking 9.86s in the 100m, Abdul-Rasheed Saminu (USF) returned with another incredible effort, finishing 2nd in 19.95s, showcasing world-class range and endurance.

Jaiden Reid (LSU) rounded out the top three with a sharp 19.97s, making it a historic heat with all three sprinters going sub-20 seconds.

With these performances, the NCAA sprint scene continues to deliver fireworks — and the finals promise even more.
