Chukwuamaka Goodness Osigwe: The Rising Star Lighting Up African Women’s Football

At just 17 years old, Chukwuamaka Goodness Osigwe has already started making waves in African women’s football. The Nigerian forward, currently plying her trade with Edo Queens FC, has shown immense promise and talent, earning recognition for her performances in the ongoing 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League in Morocco.  

Osigwe, born on April 26, 2007, is an attacker known for her blistering pace, skillful dribbles, and precise passing. She has featured in three games for Edo Queens during the competition, contributing a goal and an assist. Her impact was most evident in Edo Queens’ thrilling 2-1 victory over defending champions Mamelodi Sundowns on Saturday.  

Coming off the bench to play just 17 minutes, Osigwe made an immediate impression, becoming a significant attacking threat. She played a crucial role in the first goal and assisted the decisive second goal, showcasing her ability to influence high-stakes matches despite limited game time.

Chukwuamaka Goodness Osigwe’s pivotal contributions have propelled Edo Queens FC to the semi-finals of the 2024 CAF Women’s Champions League.
