Spain beat England to win FIFA Women's World Cup for the First Time

By Emmanuel Oladele - Spain National Women's Team on Sunday beat their England counterparts by 1-0 to win the 2023 FIFA Women's World Cup title in Australia/New Zealand.

Olga Carmona's lone goal in the 29th minute of the first half separated both sides in the thrilling encounter. Meanwhile, in the second half Spain had the opportunity to double their lead from the spot, but a missed penalty from Jennifer Hermoso denied the Spaniards from increasing their lead to 2-0.

This is the first time in the history of Spanish Football that they will be winning the FIFA Women's World Cup. Meanwhile, England hope of winning the FIFA Women's World Cup was dashed by the Spaniards.

Spain are the new Champions of the FIFA Women's World Cup. Congratulations to the Spaniards.
