Rivers United crash out of CAF Confederation Cup

By Emmanuel Oladele - Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL) Champions Rivers United have crashed out of the 2022/23 season of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The Nigerian side played a goalless draw against Tanzanian side Young Africans Sport Club at the Tanzania National Main Stadium in Dar es Salaam in the Second leg of the Quarter-final fixture on Sunday. Recall, the Port Harcourt based team suffered a 2-0 home loss in the first leg, which confirmed their exit on a 2-0 aggregate scoreline.

Meanwhile, Young Africans have advanced to the semi-final.
