Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen score in Napoli Serie A win on Sunday

By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Eagles Striker Victor Osimhen was on target in Napoli's 2-0 win over Sampdoria in Serie A matchday 17 on Sunday.

After a missed penalty by Matteo Politano in the 6th minute, Victor Osimhen gave Napoli the lead in the 19th minute, after connecting well to Mário Rui pass, putting the ball past Sampdoria Goalkeeper Emil Audero. Meanwhile, Elif Elmas doubled Napoli's lead in the 82nd minute from the spot to take the scoreline to 2-0 in favour of Napoli. The victory helped Luciano Spalletti's led side to remained seven points clear at the top of the Serie A log.

Osimhen have now scored a total of 10 goals in the Serie A this season, and currently top the goalscorers chart with 10 goals after matchday 17.

The Nigerian International will hope to increase his tally when Napoli face second placed Juventus in Serie A matchday 18 at the Diego Armando Maradona Stadium in Naples on Friday.

After the regulation time, it's Sampdoria 0-2 Napoli, so it ended at the Studio Luigi Ferraris in Genoa on Sunday.
