By Emmanuel Oladele - Super Eagles defender William Troost-Ekong has completed a move to Serie A side U.S Salernitana 1919 from Championship side Watford. Ekong joined on loan for the rest of the season, with an option to sign a permanent deal with the Italian side.
The player was unveiled on Tuesday after completing his medical, and will wear jersey Number 15 for the Italian side.
After the unveiling, Ekong took to the social media to express his happiness for joining the Salerno based team, in a post which reads as follows; "Hello Salerno! Very glad to be here Let's goooo !!! 🇱🇻 U.S. Salernitana 1919."
The 29-year-old is expected to be in action for Salernitana when they face Lecce on Friday in Serie A matchday 20.
Salernitana are currently 16th on Serie A log with 18 points.
