NPFL 2022/23 kicks off, watch out for Remo Stars Reliable Defender Oluwasegun Olalere

By Emmanuel Oladele - The 2022/23 season of the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) is here, as the new season kicks off today Sunday 8th January, 2023 with just only one fixture, where Akwa United will host Bendel Insurance at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium in Uyo in the league opener, while other fixtures have been postponed to next weekend.

Meanwhile, as the new season kicks off, one of the players to watch out for, is Remo Stars Reliable Defender Oluwasegun Oluwatobiloba Olalere who will be marshalling the defence for the Ikenne based team. The 23-year-old has many sensational qualities that will make Remo Stars defence one of the difficult to torn apart this season.

Oluwasegun Olalere has a focused mentality, technically proficient with the ball at his feet, able to communicate clearly, proactive, a team player, ability to maintain his position, high-level of passing ability, effective distribution of the ball, high level of fitness, ability to tackle well and to slow down opposition attack, excellent core strength, ability to shield the ball well, composed on the ball, effectively support the attack when required and moreover ability to score goals.

Olalere will wear the Number 20 shirt for Remo Stars this season.

Recall, the tall defender joined Remo Stars during the NPFL summer transfer window from Sporting Lagos, meanwhile, he has previously played for KF Shkupi in Macedonia, Zenith Emperor, Warri Wolves, Sporting Lagos before joining Remo Stars in 2022.

The 23-year-old will bring in, his wealth of experience in the Nigeria Professional Football League when Remo Stars face El-Kanemi Warriors at the Remo Stars Stadium next weekend in matchday 1.
