India 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup: Day 1 Results & Updated Group Standings

By Emmanuel Oladele - Four games were played in the opening day of the 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in India on Tuesday. At the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, Chile thrashed New Zealand by 3-1, as Brazil beat debutant Morocco by 1-0 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar.

Also, at Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, European Champions Germany outclassed Nigeria's Flamingos by 2-1, while United States humiliated Host India by 8-0 at the Kalinga Stadium in Bhubaneswar. See details below;
