By Emmanuel Oladele - The Nigeria U17 National Women's Football Team, the Flamingos departed the shore of Nigeria for Istanbul, Turkey on Tuesday and has arrived safely in Istanbul. According to report, the team have connected to Kocaeli and have settled down at Dedeman Hotel.
The team is expected to remain in Turkey to continue their preparation ahead of the upcoming 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup in India which kicks off October 11.
The Bankole Olowookere's led side are in Group B alongside; Germany, New Zealand and Chile.
The Flamingos will kick off their 2022 World Cup campaign with Germany on Tuesday 11th October 2022, at the Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru Stadium in Margao, before facing New Zealand and Chile in their subsequent Group games.
The India 2022 FIFA U17 Women's World Cup will hold from 11-30 October 2022, and a total of 32 games will be played in the tournament. It's the 7th edition of the tournament.
